Anyone waterbirth a baby 9+ pounds?

We have 2 girls (1st was 6lbs11oz, 2nd 7lbs15oz). Both at transition I got in the tub to labor and then deliver. I am due with our 3rd in 6 weeks and due to a marginal cord insertion we’ve been getting monthly ultrasounds done to track his growth. Today we found out he is measuring about 6lbs3oz which would put me on track to have a 9+lb baby. My midwife said that because of his size we will have 1 more ultrasound in 4 weeks and then depending on his measurements I may not be able to birth in the tub. 
The idea of naturally birthing a 9+lb baby kind of freaks me out. Anyone out there been through a natural birth with a big baby? Any advice or tips?

I had a 9lb 4oz baby in the tub at home. No issues at all. I wouldn't even think of it being a concern.

I had a ten pound baby natural, I wouldn’t worry about it. Especially if they’re just estimating baby’s weight via ultrasound, which isn’t accurate. You can do this ❤️

Late ultrasounds can be off by as much as 2lbs in either direction so I really wouldn't worry. My latest baby was estimated to be 4 lbs at 34W and projected to be under 7lbs at 40W. She was born at 41W at nearly 8lbs in under an hour and was a waterbirth. 
My second was my biggest so far at 8.4 lbs. Not a water birth but a water labor with a land birth and even with a 15 inch head I didn't tear at all.

I had a 9.7 lb baby in a pool at home with no assistance and it was completely fine with no complications. You’ll do great!

Ultrasound tech here! The later the ultrasound, the less accurate. 3rd trimester ultrasounds are given a “margin of error” of 1 lb either way. They can (if measurements aren’t the best, which is super common) be off by as much as 3 lbs. they are more commonly known for overestimating rather than underestimating. All my babes have been estimated to be 9 lbs+ (with approximate weight gain calculations and third trimester ultrasounds). My first was 8 lb 2 oz. my second was 8 lb 4 oz. my third (currently 14 weeks) was measured the day before he was born, at 40w5d. They calculated 9 lb 6 oz. he was born less than 24 hours later at 8 lb 8 oz. Reasonable docs will tell you that a mother’s estimate based on feeling of the baby and knowledge of prior baby weights is just as/more accurate than an ultrasound estimate in late pregnancy. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I wouldn’t worry about it. Also, all three were vaginal births without pain meds. First two at home, third in hospital with pitocin (I needed to have baby turned manually and, due to my age, “overdue” status, “large baby,” and blood pressure readings (medical anxiety, white coat syndrome. Readings were perfect at home), they wouldn’t attempt the procedure unless I agreed and signed consent to stay for an induction immediately after ... such medical bullying and so messed up). I tore with all three, but small minor tears. With my second I didn’t even need stitches.y third was the worst tear, a second degree, but I’m certain it was because of their “helpful” 🙄 maneuvers to guide baby out ... which were frankly hugely violating and painful (they ignored me when I told them hands off 😡)
Anyway, if your body made the baby, it’s unlikely that a natural birth without intervention will be problematic. I wouldn’t worry, but if you want a water birth bad enough, you might talk with your midwife more or find another. My second was water, first was a pool labor but land birth (planned for water, but didn’t want to move to the pool for pushing when it was time, long tough labor), and third was land, of course.
