Started using Sippy cup?

My lo is 9 month old, wondering if I should give water as well as formula in a sippy cup or straw cup , any suggestions ?

We only offer water, but we do it in a straw cup

We're introducing these, now, too. Mostly, if we're outside at home. He tends to spill them and then try drinking and looks surprised when they're empty. So, I'm working on getting him to understand that unlike the other cups, he can't flip these upside down and *still* have a drink in them.

We use these. I used straw and spout cups at first, but find these worked better for my little one. I like that they function, similarly, to a regular cup.

We also use either an open cup or straw cup and give water with meals. It’s best to not go overboard. I was told no more than 100ml of water in a day bit it’s important to give small amounts each meal to rinse their mouth out after meals, build their skills for drinking out of vessels, develop a taste for water and it can also help aid digestion/prevent constipation.
