Pumping & breastfeeding while working

Julia

I will go back to work full time in february and would like to continue breastfeeding until my baby is one year old (if he wants to and if my supply doesn't disappear).

Currently I am EBF and can feed him whenever he's hungry. Can anybody give me tips on how to make sure my supply stays up plus how and when (and if) I should start a freezer stash?

I was intitially planning on only breastfeeding until I am back in the office, but it goes so well that I would like to continue for a bit. My plan is nursing him in the morning and evening and during the day my boyfriend can give him a bottle (he will be on paternity leave for 6 months). I would like to avoid giving him formula or any other milk as long as possible.

I get a breastpump from my insurance, but only for 3 months (I would buy one if I need it longer). When should I get it? As soon as I start building the freezer stash?

Also, since he never used a bottle, should I try to get a bottle similar to his pacifier to make sure he'll take it? Or do I need to just try different ones?

Lalalallala I never pumped before and have no idea how to start planning 🤷🏽‍♀️ any help is appreciated!
