Birthing Center = Husband Not on Board

I'm 4 weeks pregnant, and I want to have my baby in a birthing center as long as I meet the requirements to do so (the one in our town is one of the best in this region of the country & right across the street from the hospital they work with - it's also covered by insurance).

My husband is not comfortable with baby being born outside of the hospital, but he says I get to make the decision since I'm the one having the baby.

We've been together almost 10 years, and we both know how the other one feels, but I was hoping it'd be an easier decision to make when the time came.

All that to say, I'm just hoping that the decision becomes clearer and wondered if anyone had any similar experience.

**I did not make this post to debate between birthing center vs hospital vs home birth. I believe every woman/couple should get to choose and do what is best for their family.
