Cramping & brown mucus discharge

I am 6 weeks and I had a little bit of mucus brown discharge when I wiped accompanied by mild cramping on and off. I have a history of miscarriage and ectopic so of course I am freaking out. I took a pregnancy test and I have a dye stealer. Has this happened to anyone? Normal?
