I went to catholic school so I know all the biblical names and related stories but I honestly never think of Delilah as a biblical name. I know the story but it’s just not a strong connection for me.

I think that a lot of people don’t know the Bible well enough to know lol. I feel like Jezebel is one of those super common ones where people know “how she was” Delilah not as much. At least that’s my opinion lol. I know a tonnnnn of Delilah’s and only 1 Jezebel.

Because most people are naming their kid a name, not a meaning. 🤷‍♀️ People who use Delilah like the name Delilah. Same with Allison, or Mila, or Caroline, etc. I get why you’re asking the question, but it’s kind of silly lol people aren’t going “hmm, both of these names have a similar negative connotation… I think I’ll pick Delilah though”. Most people probably don’t even know the negative meaning that some people associate with the name Delilah, they just think it’s a pretty name, and it is, even if it’s not everyone’s cup of tea.
