How do you feel about this topic ?

Is anyone else annoyed by the “who comes first…wife, daughter, or mother” topic ? I will never put my husband in the position where he feels that he has to choose me over his mom or daughter. I think it’s tacky and shows insecurity about the relationship.

It's weird to put the women in a man's life in some kind of hireochry of whose most important to him. Every woman in his life is special and it's not a competition for whose the most important. He'd be devastated if anything happened to any of them.

I think it comes into play when men do not know how to set boundaries. One relationship starts to suffer and one feels it is because of the other. Or the man don't understand or realized something means so much to his partner or feels it is a small thing and not a big deal it is. He does something for someone else or with someone else instead. 
It all really comes down to communication and boundaries. 
Like my ex always put everyone friends, co workers, family over me and my kids. Cancel our plans to help/do/go with them. He didn't want any of them mad at him. I was his wife he could say sorry i was supposed to just be okay with it. No matter how important it was or how much i needed him if someone or something came up he wouldn't be there. 
My boyfriend now and ones since him are completely different. Sure they do stuff for others others. But if we have plans or I have something I need/want them there for they make it a point to be there for me too. Just as I am for them. 
It isn't that we want anyone to come first it is finding the balance where everyone's needs are covered.
