When to temp check?

I just track my fertile days/ovulation with the app and sticks.  When do I temp check? I’ve never checked my temp when TTC but I think that’s where I’m going wrong we have been TTC for almost a year and I feel like I’m always off by just a few days since the last couple months my period has been late 2-3 days. Any advice and help would be greatly appreciated on when to check? Time of month, time of day, etc???

You need to be temping the entire cycle. Temp vaginally, with a basel thermometer. Every morning before getting out of bed or moving around. So make sure thermometer is somewhere you can easily grab, I did a little “hack” and velcro it to my headboard. I also recommend setting an alarm to get up so you are temping at the same time every morning. You start once period ends and temp till next period begins.

If you want to track temp, you need to track every day, same time of day ideally, and first thing in the morning when you wake up. 
Your temperature can only confirm that you already ovulated. The OPKs will predict if you're going to ovulate soon, then if you see a rise in your temperature, you know that you did ovulate.
