For background, had a slipped disc on my sciatic about 8 years ago. I’m now pregnant with my first and it has gone from sporadic and tolerable to intolerable and some what sporadic very recently (like, I’m seeing an orthopedic doctor because of my history on Wednesday).

For those of you have had something similar, did your doctor decide to induce you? If so, when was that decision made?

Whether you were induced or not, did you end up taking an epidural? If not, would you have?

I’m just trying to feel out here. Hubby and I are currently separated due to work (he’ll do his best to make it for the birth if I go naturally. He’s only 4.5 hrs away).
