I don’t know what’s going on

I think I may be having spotting. The blood is bright red and light, but I’ve been on birth control for a while now since my bf and I aren’t ready to have a baby. I already have a one and a half year old. I’m not sure if it’s the start of breakthrough bleeding or if it could be spotting.
