If your child told you that they didn’t like your partner but had no valid reason or explanation why, would you leave them?

Some people say “if my child doesn’t like my boyfriend there can be no future between us” . I just wanna see what the glow community thinks?

I would try to get down to the bottom of it, because sometimes it can be a very valid reason but they’re too afraid to say it in fear you or your partner will get upset. But, sometimes it can be because they feel they’ll get replaced or upset you’re no longer with their father. So in those I stances more bonding time and reassurance should help alleviate those feelings, but if it didn’t get better and my child was insistent they do not like my partner yes I would consider leaving because my children are far more important. 
But, if my husband and I were to ever divorce I’m done dating lol

If my husband and I ever split up and my child came to me and said Mom I really have a bad feeling about this guy, I don't want him here. 
That would be it. 
There are too many times that's happened and something happened to the child to just be ignored. Children have gut feelings to.

I said this to my mom over and over when I was 11 and she started dating someone I didn’t trust. He creeped me out and made me very uncomfortable but because I had no proof he’d done anything or would do anything she didn’t trust my “feelings” and married him. I didn’t like the way he looked at me. I slept with a knife under my pillow and my door locked. I moved in with my grandparents when I turned 14, and stayed until I went to college. After 8 years of rampant emotional abuse, she finally divorced him. Trust your kids. They might not have “proof” but they know. I’m 28 now but my relationship with my mother will never be the same because she chose him over me and failed to protect me when I needed her.

Your child should come first. Not your partner. The child has a valid reason not to like them. You just have to be willing to hear the reason why and if the child didn’t tell you well you should be questions that yourself.

i’d say yes bc even though your child may have told you there’s not a reason for not liking said partner they may be scared to be honest with you about why they don’t like your partner probably in regards of you not believing them or just simply blowing it off bc you really like them 🤷🏽‍♀️

I don’t care what the reason, if my kids don’t like someone, I will not keep them in my life. I trust them. I have strong gut feelings about people and I trust my gut, so why wouldn’t I trust theirs?
My kids have always and will always come first.

Depends on the why. Personally I'd need more to go off of then just gut feelings. Cause my kid loves my fiance but has said things out of anger cause she got in trouble. If the why is solely cause he doesn't let her get away with things. No I would tell her she don't get to choose who I'm with. We already explained to her kids don't make decisions about adult things a couple times. Cause she was trying to decide when/if she'll have siblings a couple times. 
My mom picked her bf ak "my step dad" when all my brothers and I made it clear we don't like him at all. I even bite him once. My one brother moved out as soon he could cause he didn't like him.  He not good person at all, he beat up his son and his ex. He abused one of my brothers, push a table into him giving him bruises. So I completely understand the hurt of feeling a parent picking someone else but my mom is a horrible person too so not shocking she'd be with a equally bad person. Now I'm a adult but definitely very hard when a kid.

Yep I would break it off with any person for any reason  if my child or children said they didn’t like them. The moment I gave birth I made a decision to put their happiness above mine forever. And I read far too many stories about parents’ boyfriends or girlfriends harming or killing their children. They would be gone at the first sound of an alarm.
