So imma say this.
I dated a lot of people and had a few serious relationships before my current one. And I always hid something here and there or lied. For various reasons. I was either afraid of hurting their feelings or I was just being a shit person and did things I shouldn’t have.
When I met my fiancé, I told to myself from the very beginning that I will be honest. no. matter. what. It’s made my life so much fucking easier. Like, my fiancé knows my phone passcode, email passwords, literally everything. And I don’t have to worry about him finding something that I was trying to hide. I was honest about my body count, my previous fuck ups, my relationships, EVERYTHING THAT HE ASKED. And I fucking love it lol.
I’ve been using this philosophy with all my loved ones. I’m completely 100% transparent with my parents, my brother, etc. and they know it. I always tell them, “if you don’t wanna know the truth, don’t ask me, cause I ain’t gonna lie and then drive myself crazy over it.” Selfish? Maybe a bit, but hell, it helped alleviate a lot of anxieties lol

There are traumas from my past that I haven’t talked to him about. He knows my childhood was rough and I’ve gone into a little detail but nothing close to what happened. I guess that’s technically a secret as I’m not keen to reveal what went down. It’s not that I haven’t processed it or haven’t gone to therapy, it’s just a wound I don’t want to open anymore.

Not necessarily "secrets" because I'm always honest with him and I'm not hiding anything, but im sure there are some things he doesn't know just because they've never come up. Just things from way long ago before I met him or just little silly things.

There’s things that I haven’t shared with him about my life before him, but I think that’s fair. I don’t feel it necessary to get into all of the gory details of my past and he doesn’t need to know them 😅

Mimes doesnr have to do with thi gs like money or cheating and etc though. Its more like something i did when i was younger and got in trouble for. I definitely do plan to tell him once i get the courage to do it even though i know i will not bother him one bit.
