High HCG?
Okay I KNOW that a single HCG reading means very little, and the rate of increase is what really matters. HOWEVER. I just got the results from my first blood draw, taken at 4 weeks 3 days (~17dpo), and it was 1,755. High?
My doctor called and recommended an ultrasound, because I've had very light brown spotting off and on for the past 5 days. They couldn't find anyone to do the scan for another several weeks, so she told me to go to the ER. This was via voicemail so I couldn't ask her to elaborate, and it's Friday night so can't call back until Monday.
Then a friend of a friend freaked me out by saying that high hcg can be a sign of ectopic pregnancy, something I'm finding no evidence of anywhere else.
Any input to put my mind at ease would be helpful.
