Breast feeding issues.

My 2 month old had 2 colds back to back, with really bad congestion. Well after the second one I’ve started noticing his latch is not the same, I’m not sure if it’s because of him being sick. Pretty much I dread feeding him because of the pain. My nipple are cracked from him not properly latching, I tease him and don’t let him latch on until he opens wide. The problem there is that he will break the latch and latch back on barely opening his mouth, causing me a lot of pain. Do y’all have any tips? I don’t want to stop breastfeeding but I also don’t want to keep being in pain.
