Colic?

So I’m wondering if anyone has any tips on what to do? He just always is crying only happy and content when he first wakes up. He is breastfed and I was wondering if that could be upsetting his stomach somehow? I feel like he spits up a lot after every feed like enough to soak a burp cloth. He also is not really taking naps unless I hold him when I put him down it only lasts about 20mins tops then he’s up screaming. And I’ve tried letting for him cry for a little bit he just keeps going it doesn’t tire him out at all. He won’t take his pacifiers anymore either. Im just so lost idk what to do I love him so much and tired of seeing him always upset. But I also cannot get anything done anymore. It’s also more of a painful cry most of the time.

Don’t do an elimination diet. Unless there is blood in the stool, there is no real indication to do this. It just gives mothers something to do to try to fix it but then just everybody winds up miserable. This is pretty common newborn behavior. Work on gas release (burping, moving legs) and pace your house holding the baby, singing to calm him. You likely will not get long naps on his back by himself - maybe 1-2 decent naps all day without holding; that’s just babies. If you are able try wearing him. Try a different pacifier - soothes and mam for example are very different. I’m just so sick of ppl telling moms to stop eating shit as if pp isn’t hard enough. I mean try it if you want but it’s rarely the cause .

I just went threw all of this with my son.... Ended up having acid reflux... I have to have a wedge in the crib, medication, i also use these probiotic drops I think are called biogania ! I also cant lay him flat if i do not for long, also i have to hold him up for 30 mins after he eats. I also had to switch over to the similac purple thats for allergies i guess with acid reflux they also have a hard time breaking down milk. It took multiple doctor appointments, sick kids and a 8 hour emerg visit with him crying the entire time... Not saying he is perfect now but compared to what he was going through it was a 360... Maybe something to look into !

This sounds like my baby! She isn't happy unless being held, won't nap more then 20 mins on her own, when she spits up it is projectile but luckily only once a day or so. I noticed when she was really cranky that she was likely going through a leap (check out the wonder weeks app), she is going through her second leap now. My pediatrician isn't concerned about the spit up for us because it isn't after every feed and she is gaining weight just fine.
I find for her, she just wants to be close to me and snuggle. The Boba wrap has a been a sanity saver for us. I'll put her in and go for a walk outside and calms her right to sleep when she is just cranky.

We had colicky baby. We tried EVERY tip on the internet :) Only one advice was true - it will disapper around 3months…. Around 10-11 weeks he stops crying, start be happy and sleep better. At 9 weeks we visited physiotherapist. She told us that baby have diastasis and because of that he is colicky. She told us it will get better in time and told us to we can help him with carry him as “cangaroo” and do a lot of tummy time :)

In addition to everyone advice. Try the playtex bottles with liners. Ive been having the same issue with my little one. With the liners you push all the air out prior to feeding, so it definitely helped. I was also told to keep the baby upright for 15-20 mins and burp. That way their tummy has time to work with the feeding they just did.

My baby was going through this he is currently 10wks, my midwife told  me to try gripe water. It has helped alot, with gas, fussing and hiccups. I tried mommy bliss they have a night time one it works wonders. I hope this helps

My first was similar to this and now my second as well is starting. But like one poster said I think it’s just babies - I’m not cutting anything out of my diet - I only have a tiny bit of milk in coffee and that’s all the dairy I really eat and I need to enjoy my one cup of coffee. They will grow out of it. It’s just a fussy time. Mine will chill out when held, or in the carrier, the stroller, nursing etc - it’s not so bad but I can’t get a lot done either which is frustrating. It’ll get better soon - it will pass!

My son is now 2.5 and he was like this. I breastfed, and I needed to cut out dairy and soy from my diet. This helped, but he was still pretty fussy most of the time. He only liked to sleep when nursing, or when in a carrier actively walking outside. He wouldn’t sleep any other way. 
It is hard, mama. Super super hard! It WILL get better, I promise. But I know how frustrating and exhausting it is. Take it day by day and just hold him if you can. I eventually adjusted to just sitting on the couch all day, and probably watched every TV show in the world 😂 
My 7 week old daughter now is totally different, but I remember those difficult days well. Try to get any support that you can!!

I would try eliminating dairy. Look up dairy intolerance.
