Toilet Terror

My daughter is potty trained. She is always very proud of herself and has been amazing at using bathrooms when out and about too … until … we had a run in with a VERY loud toilet that would automatically flush. It flushed like 6 times while we were trying to use the potty. There was much screaming and crying. Now she absolutely will not go to the bathroom anywhere but at home or in her little potty in the trunk of the car. Anyone have suggestions for overcoming this trauma, other than just giving it time?
