I had a scheduled induction on 12.07.2021 due to a mild form of cholestasis. Long story short I went into the hospital got checked in. I wasn’t dilated at all so I had about 3 doses of misoprosol to ripen my cervix every 4 hours. Doctors then inserted the foley bulb catheter. At 1:00 am on 12.08.2021 I was dialated to a 4 cm. Doctors broke my water and started pitocin. Hours later I was dilated to 10 cm. I began pushing and kept on pushing for 3 hours. I did get an epidural however I began to notice it was not working as I could feel so much pain in my vagina area. The anesthesiologist did come in 3 times to try and fix it or add more medication. I pushed until I developed a fever and an infection. I was rushed for an emergency c section. During my surgery I lost a lot of blood, apparently according to my wife whom was so scared watching all of this saw me vomiting up blood during the surgery. I was honestly in and out of the whole thing. Our daughter arrived 12.08.2021 at 5:29 pm she is 6 ibs 12 ounces and 19 inches long. As soon as I heard our daughters first cry I knew everything I had gone through was absolutely worth it! Our daughter is very healthy but unfortunately is currently in the Nicu due to an incident of her turning purple during a feeding. Doctors believe she is losing oxygen during her feedings as she is a very aggressive eater and are monitoring her. She has already made my wife and I fall in love with her. We are hoping to take her home as soon as we can 💓
