People that have trauma filled pasts and childhoods like the stress and feel comfortable in the environment because that’s all they have known.

I hate arguing. Unless it's about a more objective topic or a silly fake argument like "where is the line between a soup & a stew?"
But actually fighting, with a partner or friend or family member, I hate it and no thanks. I want to discuss things and try to stay calm, reasonable and understanding. I realize it's not always possible, but I do my best on my end, and I am careful about who I get close to.
