Hands Free Delivery

A while back my husband and I decided to move to his reservation. Before moving we lived in Seattle and I went to this amazing Birthing Center. Since being here I have been denied a natural water birth and a hands free birth.

I expressed to my provider than I did not want any medication and he was persistent on me at least being halfway numb (walking epidural). I also explained to him that I don’t want cervical checks and he said those are mandatory.

For 13 years of my life i was sexually abused and I don’t want to relive those moments or have PTSD while I’m supposed to be enjoying a beautiful moment.

I’m honestly scared that I might die on the delivery table because I won’t be taken seriously.
