1600/day calorie restriction + low sodium diet to manage severe hypertension
I’m 33 weeks and 6 days.
I’ve gained a lot of weight — from 85 to 104 kilos / 187lbs to 230lbs. Everything was going fine until 30 weeks. Symptoms of swelling and rd eye got worse, and I was subsequently diagnosed with severe hypertension because my BP wouldn’t normalize.
My doctor thinks I should be hospitalized at the ICU and monitored until I give birth.
The doctor would like to induce from 35 weeks.
Anyway.
My meals are really small, so I’m struggling at night with a growling tummy. It’s been really hard because of this (in addition to not being able to leave my room due to this…new era we’re all in).
What can I do to ease the growling tummy?
Calories a day: ~1600
Protein: ~60g
Fiber: 6g
Carbs: I don’t know
Has any other overweight/classified obese woman been through this?
Footnote: I used to do keto and stopped during pregnancy.
