Birthday Party for 1 Year Old??

Hi! I'm a FTM and I want some opinions...
My daughter will be 1 in Feburary and everyone keeps asking me of I'm throwing a birthday party for her. I didn't plan on it because it's not like she's going to remember and I don't really feel like hosting a bunch of people and going through a bunch of work if she won't even care or remember but since everyone is asking I'm starting to feel bad for not doing it..... what do you guys think? Did you thrown a party when your little one turned 1?

Let’s be real. 1st birthday parties are generally for the parents. Basically… “Congratulations on keeping another human alive for a whole year and not entirely losing yourself in the process!” If it’s just gonna be more work for you and hosting is not something you’ll enjoy, absolutely fuck that 😂🤣

We do a party every year for both kids, including their first birthday. I enjoy party planning and hosting though

We did a really small party for my son. Just me and his dad at home. We put up some decorations and got a cake and our families saw him over Zoom(we live overseas). Honestly it doesn't need to be much at all especially at that age.

We did not do a party...my husband and I got our son a little smash cake and took some pictures and a video of him enjoying, just the three of us. It was nice and I got some super cute pics of my son and his cake to share with family.

I’m about to start planning my baby 1st birthday (she is almost 8months) nothing big but definitely a cake, find a cartoon character to take pictures with the kids,,,she won’t remember but I’ll have pictures and videos to show her,, I couldn’t act like her birthday is a normal day!,,, I would do something special

Nope, I’ll do something small with immediate family, but that’s about it. I’m not throwing a huge party they won’t remember and will have me stressing when I can still make happy memories with half the people and stress.
