COVID symptoms

I posted about this on another group but my SIL and her daughter tested positive for COVID and didn’t let us know she was sick until we all arrived for Christmas breakfast and didn’t test herself until later that day. (She had been feeling sick for a bit) I started to feel a bit of an itchy throat out of nowhere today and now it’s starting to sting a little when I cough. I’m fully vaccinated, just waiting for my age group to be approved for boosters. Im sure that I have COVID and have scheduled a test for Thursday. My question is, I’m currently bed sharing with my daughter because we unfortunately have no space for a crib or pack n play. I told my partner I’ll sleep on the couch to keep them safe but he said no he wants to take the couch and that I should quarantine in the room so he doesn’t get it and have to miss work. Although understandable, that makes it difficult since I don’t feel comfortable sleeping in the room with the baby and possibly exposing her. I don’t know what to do 🤦🏻‍♀️ I also can’t take many medicines since I’m still breastfeeding. Im so irritated and frustrated. I thought it would be common sense to let people know that you’re feeling sick before going to a get together even if it’s small. I guess I’m an idiot as well for not checking in with everyone to make sure everyone was feeling good.

@Kat we had gotten together Friday evening for Christmas eve! She was doing her part by wearing a mask but I can only imagine how difficult it is to have your toddler wear one. Before that we’d met up with her about a week ago but she didn’t have any symptoms. We haven’t been exposed to anyone else who tested positive and we haven’t been out all week. I just feel like it’s considerate to stay home if you’re having any symptoms and to get tested. I’m not looking forward to POSSIBLY going through this again with my 1yr old 😪 (she caught it from my partner last time who caught it from work)
