Hi, I’m 23years old and yesterday I had a surgery to remove a cystic mass near my left ovary and the doctor ended up having to remove my whole left ovary with it, being that it was such a big mass and it thinned out my ovarian tissue. It just couldn’t be saved. My right ovary looked nice and healthy and so I got to keep it along with my uterus.

I just want to know if anyone else has gone through anything similar and what I can expect over time? I know I will have a hormonal imbalance and I currently have the Mirena IUD for BC. This was just all so sudden and I still haven’t really been able to process this. TIA.
