What do I do if my lo won’t stay on the potty?

I’ve been potty training for two days and she doesn’t want to sit on the potty. 😞 
I have one of those potty watches that goes off every 30 minutes and every time it goes off she says “no” and has a tantrum. What can I do to convince my lo to go on the potty?

Stop pushing. If a kid isn’t ready, they’re aren’t ready. That’s okay. Try again in a month or two.

Maybe the clock is just adding pressure. It'll have the opposite effect and your kid will feel pushed to go.
Take a break, back with the diaper. Take some time, get potty book, prep by talking about how the diaper needs to go, make a countdown to the day and try again. Again, not sure the clock will help.

How old? My 4 year old was the same way and I figured out she just didn’t like being bossed around. I backed off and let her tell ME and we had zero accidents or tears over it.

I’d say she isn’t ready. They can be physically and cognitively ready but if they are not emotionally ready then pushing them will likely make potty training harder in the future (holding on too much can cause constipation).
My son found timed intervals way too stressful. It was taking him away from what he wanted to do too often and was disruptive to his day/play. We took him a couple of times a day at natural transition points (when he woke up, after lunch and after dinner) but in general left it up to him to listen to his own body cues and let us know/go. So rather than sitting him on and catching a pee that just happened to come at that point, it was more conscious- recognising the signs and then going. Accidents are not a bad thing at this point- they are how they learn to link the feeling with the outcome. He was fully trained within a week although I don’t think speed is a barometer of success. The most important thing is to set them up for healthy toileting habits.

When my son did that he wasn't ready and we tried again when he asked again. We also got designated bathroom books that we read while he sat on the potty and kept then with my husband's bathroom books which made him happy to be like daddy.

Don't make baby sit on potty for long. Give a lot to drink, don't use a diaper, but some pants that can get wet, and put baby on potty every time, but don't force to sit there for long. Just "try" and go away.

Skip the potty watch bc its forcing too hard.   Make it fun do a prize or sticker if she sits on the potty.   Give her something to play with on the potty.  Maybe a new or special toy just for potty time.

I turn everything into a song and dance. Keep the timer on but if you can lower the volume. Come up with a short catchy song that she can dance to on her way to the potty. When she sits on the potty give her praise “yaay!! Go big girl go  big girl” make her feel good about the potty. She probably feels forced and it’s not a pleasant experience for her. When she’s on the potty come up with another song or phrase. “ whats it gonna be pee or poop” shit idk something lol just have to make her interested in the potty.
