12 week appointment

I have been extremely anxious about my pregnancy. It’s my first and I have had very few symptoms. I’ve been waiting for my 12 week appointment for some more reassurance. My 8 week ultrasound went fine, I don’t think they will do an ultrasound at my 12 week. I’ve heard they might do a Doppler but sometimes that’s still too early to hear a heartbeat. If that’s the case what will they do to make sure everything is ok? Can I request another ultrasound? I borrowed an at home Doppler from a friend and couldn’t find anything. I need some sort of reassurance or my anxiety is just going to get way worse. We were also planning on announcing on Facebook after this appointment but I don’t want to unless I have some sort of proof.
