What is the process after finding out you're pregnant?

Do you call the day you get a positive? Or do you wait a little bit? Also, once you did call how soon did they get you in for your 1st and 2nd blood draw and then the ultra sound? We are leaving for vacation in a little over a week and will be gone for a couple weeks so I'm thinking of just calling when we get back so that nothing is interrupted by vacation but wasn't sure if I should wait that long? I will be 7 1/2 weeks when we get back.

I booked an appointment with my doctor the day I found out but the appointment wasn't until a week and a half later. She sent a referral to the OB I had chosen and took my bloods (my doctor only does one set of bloods unless its a high risk pregnancy) I called my OB afterwards and set up the first appointment which will be at 9 weeks, it would have been at 8 but because of Christmas holidays we just made it 9 weeks instead.

I called when I officially missed my period. I’d call sooner rather than later bc they get backed up. My doctor doesn’t do blood draws unless something is wrong. Then 7-8 weeks is the first ultrasound.

I called a few days after I got my positive. They had me go to the lab and pee for them when I could. Once they confirmed pregnancy they set up an early ultrasound around 7-8 weeks. Around the same time the had me go in for all the pregnancy bloodwork and then at 12 weeks I had my first in person appointment.
I would call just to get the ball rolling and get those appointments sorted out 😊

My doctor sends everyone for blood work around week 6. Then schedules an ultrasound for 8-10 weeks. I honestly would not see a doctor who doesn’t do earlier blood draws. If they catch a low progesterone level, they can prescribe progesterone to help maintain the pregnancy that could be lost without a high enough hormone level.
