First time momma baby necessities!

Hello everyone! 
This will be our first little nugget and I am curious what are some things that absolutely saved you with a newborn?! Anything you wish you didn’t waste money on?

Any Velcro swaddle has been amazing. We were able to swaddle with a blanket but it’s sooo much easier using one of these in the middle of the night. Wasted money on a boppy pillow. I’m sure we’ll use it more when my daughter is a little older and can use it in other ways. Whenever I tried using it for breastfeeding l, it would slip. Plus, I didn’t like having to rely on a product when my baby was hungry. It wasn’t ideal to have to run to another room to grab the pillow. Also didn’t really need a rocker/glider in the nursery. I just come out to our living room and sit on the couch to feed my daughter. However, my house is one story so that makes things easier.

This and the electric nose frida have been a lifesaver! The wipe warmer was the biggest waste of money along with the little diaper cream spatula. Velcro swaddles/halo sleep sacks are also a must!

This and the transition swaddle with zipper sleeves were great! From day one our son wanted his hands up around his face (he would bust out of the super tight hospital swaddles the nurses did) so these were great. The transition swaddle helped for when he started rolling and needed to have his arms out. We swaddled for all sleep, then slowly only swaddled at night to help him differentiate day and night.

An owlet is a must for me- they are releasing a new generation this month but you can buy used ones for $100-$150 and it’s worth every penny in my opinion (as someone who suffered from PPA). Other must haves are Muslim burp cloths, Velcro swaddles but make sure they are the kind you can change their diaper without taking  their arms out of the swaddle, pacifier wipes. 
A halo bassinet was the biggest waste of money in my opinion. My son grew out of it by 3 months old. Also buying large items brand new- for example, if you have your heart set on a halo bassinet (as an ex), find one used! Save yourself the hundreds of dollars.

This thing is a life saver when baby has a cold! The bulb the hospital gave isn’t nearly as effective and I’m not putting my mouth on the other end of a tube that goes in their nose (🤢)
