Baby congested for 3 weeks?

Hey mamas,

My son was born on December 18th via emergency csection. Hes been congested since birth and is now 3 weeks old. I know its common for csection babies to be congested for the first few days but its now been 3 weeks. We use a saline spray and a bulb suction before bed time and during the day as needed to help him. Doctors have listened to his chest and said his chest sounds clear.

I had very bad asthma as a child and i know that can be hereditary. We also have a cat but even in the hospital he was congested. We went back in hospital a week later because i was diagnosed with postpartum preeclampsia and he was still congested being away from the cat for a few nights.

Has anyone elses little one been congested for this long? What did you do? I plan to bring this up at his next appointment with his pediatrician.
