hair !!

okay sooooo. my hair is really damaged. and i put this treatment on it tonight (not a relaxer) that was supposed to be like a conditioner and now my hair is super spongy and literally all of it is breaking off . like i could just pull on it and it will fall out . prolly over 50% of it . what do i dooooo? do i just pull/cut it all off ? my roots aren’t effected , they actually feel really healthy now and my scalp feels amazing . or should i let it be ? i’m supposed to get my hair braided in a few days 😩 someone please help
