Induction Thursday, any advice?

FTM here, hospital protocols just changed and now I’m only allowed one person with me instead of the two that I had. I’m freaking out as one of them is my mother in law who provides the guidance and knows exactly what to do when it comes to labor, but I want my partner in there with me. I’m just scared that he’ll freak out and then I’ll be stuck alone going through it. We’re both first time parents and don’t know what to expect but we’ve kept an open mind to both natural and cesarean births just in case. Any advice will be helpful , or even just words of encouragement as my nerves are so bad at the moment. I don’t want to go into the hospital freaked out
