Quitting after Mat leave

I’m likely going to quit my job after mat leave. I’ve worked for my current employer for 3+ years by the time the baby comes. I’ve checked my employee handbook and I don’t think I’m at risk for having to pay back benefits or pay while I’m out. I also don’t think they’d do that to me. Does anyone have experience doing this? How did you time the conversation? I’m also wanting to take a couple weeks off before baby is born (assuming I don’t go super early). My leave is partially paid so I don’t want to give that up. Appreciate thoughts.
