How do I stop breastfeeding?

My son just turned 1 
Formula & breastfeeding here and there, mostly night 
I’m giving birth in 6 months but I want to stop breastfeeding before baby is born… help please!

I just gradually dropped to just bedtime and then switched that to a bottle. It hurt me more than her but she was never super attached to breastfeeding since we did bottles so often too.

I just stopped nursing my two year old last month… and honestly I went down to nights only and then just cut nights …. It was hard for like 3 days only and then she understood we were done … good luck

My daughter dropped feeding on her own between 12-15 months. The more table food they eat the less interested they’ll be. Also don’t offer it. Once I stopped offering my daughter didn’t even notice

Everyone does things differently I think. With my daughter I just dropped feeds one at a time over a few months and left the one before bed for last. She barely noticed and weaned really easily. With my son he has been more attached to nursing so he would fuss to nurse throughout the day and I just started offering him food or water instead of nursing after he turned one and only let him nurse for naps and nights. Then I dropped the nap feeds. He is almost 14 months and just nurses at night now, mostly because I’ve been too tired to get up and soothe him another way 😆 but I’ll be dropping his night feeds in the next few weeks and we will be done!
