Endometriosis

Hi ladies so I have endometriosis and I went to a fertility dr yesterday me and my fiancé and she prescribed me prenatal vitamins. We’ve been trying for 6 years and he has kids he will be going soon to do his semen test. I have never been pregnant, but she says by taking these it could help. So How long did it take for you ladies to get pregnant with having endometriosis and how long did y’all try before conceiving?

Prenatals will not impact your chances of pregnancy, unfortunately. I have endometriosis, and have done the laproscopy, Clomid, Letrozole, and IUI. None of it worked, unfortunately. I recommend seeing an endometriosis specialist.

Yes, they can. We did 6 rounds of Clomid. I was ovulating semi regularly on my own prior.

Can the Dr prescribe clomid even if I’m ovulating on my own or at least some other type of fertility med(s)?

I had laparoscopic exploratory surgery in 2015. They confirmed endo and removed it. Didn’t ttc after surgery. Fast forward to 2021. Got an HSG to determine whether or not tubes were open. Conceived 2nd month trying after HSG. Miscarried @ 11wks, but still got pregnant. 4 months post d&c and I’m ttc, hopefully I get my bean soon.

They removed all of my endo. My uterus was folded over on itself and stuck to my abdominal wall, they positioned it back correctly. Both my tubes were good, dye was pushed through both. They also removed a chocolate cyst. I don’t think I would have ever gotten pregnant without the surgery, but now they say the surgery can lower your egg count dramatically. I think they recommend egg retrieval prior to surgery now for best results. Keep in mind I have stage IV though. Most women have a less severe stage. I’ve heard a lot of good things about acupuncture too. Just try to stay positive. It’s not impossible to conceive naturally with endo despite the low percentages the doctors tell ppl. I think it’s more about being your own advocate, figuring out a game plan for combating your endo, and not giving up. There are sooo many success stories, it just takes women with endo longer to concieve in a lot of situations, but many are successful.

Do they supposed to only remove the endo if it’s bad or in general supposed to remove it?

Try acupuncture! After three laps, several losses, ivf losses, I became naturally pregnant after a few rounds of acupuncture. I can’t say for sure if that’s what attributed but it did help my endo symptoms too! I was a skeptic at first though. Goodluck

Search around your area for acupuncture treatments available. Find someone who specializes in fertility or women’s health. A lot of times people will do acupuncture alongside ivf.
