Normal toddler behavior ??

My son turned two in November and he’s not talking a whole lot but he will say some words when he wants to. I try to work with him by saying words a lot and him repeating. Im working on numbers with him and He will start by showing me one finger saying one then sometimes he will say one through five sometimes he doesn’t or skips some numbers…but there are times when I make him repeat and he will get mad he will like shriek and “fake whine or cry” like he doesn’t want to repeat them. Like I said he will only talk when he wants to and if you notice him repeating words sometimes he will stop and just start talking gibberish… any advice or input
