Any advice from boy moms who thought they’d have girls?

This saying makes me sad, “a son is a son until he takes a wife but a daughter is a daughter for life.” My mother in law has two boys my mom has two girls. MIL says that saying is true that girls stay closer to their mom and dad and boys do not. It makes me sad. Being best friends with my mom and having a sister I always thought I’d have girls and raise a girl and be best friends. Having a boy and so blessed and happy, just want a healthy baby. just wondering if any other boy moms can weigh in thanks. We are Italian Spanish my husband is white, I think it’s how you’re raised. My dad is Italian and so close to his mom calls all the time goes to see his mom and dad when he can.
