What’s the earliest you can ask your doctor for a cervix check? Not a sweep (my doc won’t do one until at least 39 weeks), just a check? My spouse and I have 4-5 hrs between us and he wants to be present if possible.

I know the checks mean nothing about when things will start, but we’re using it to be better prepared for the possibility. Same with like my bloody show and such.

And what exactly should I expect with Braxton Hicks and Contractions? I know contractions are normally intense to the point where you can’t walk/talk through them, but I also know everybody’s pain tolerance level is different, and I can have a high one majority of the time…so I’m worried about not recognizing contractions as active labor….
