Owlet Smart Sock App?

Question

I bought the Owlet Smart Sock 2 a couple years ago brand new, even before trying for baby. But I’ve heard recently that they took the app off of the App Store or something. Is there a different app I’m supposed to use now?

I had that sock but deleted the app when we stopped using it - I plugged it back in the other day and was ticked to see that you can’t work the old socks with the new app. BUT if you had the old app you can download it again through the purchases section of your App Store and it works great!

Yup we still have ours and the app still works. So glad we have one!

Just try to download the app and set it up. Someone else posted that the app will ask you which sock you have. 
I purchased mine in September, before they were pulled and have been using it since October. Thank goodness because my baby caught RSV at 3 weeks old and now has COVID at almost 4 months. 
I can tell you from personal experience that it works WAY better than the hospital oxygen sensor. We were admitted when baby had RSV and the hospital sensor was completely unreliable and literally had to be held on baby’s foot to read anything. My pediatrician said that the Owlets works just fine but because they didn’t go through the FDA they weren’t supposed to market it as an oxygen/heart sensor but there is nothing actually wrong with it. It works the way it is marketed.

They aren't being sold right now because they aren't fda approved so they're working on getting approval but the app should still work.

I read recently that they all had to be pulled from the shelves. Something to do with them being marketed as a medical device but not having the proper papers filed. Nothing to do with them being defective or anything, but that could be why?
I don’t have one so I didn’t follow up. Maybe look into that.

It still works. I used an android device to set it up on the app (still available on android) and after that I didn’t need the app again. The base is what will alert you.

I love the owlet!! My daughter has no heart issues but was a piece of mind for us.  We still have the app with the old sock. It’s owlet care.

Unfortunately technology updates so fast. If it is a couple years old it may be obsolete.
