Formula fed

I’ve decided to formula feed my child. But I have a question that may be crazy or stupid to others but how did you guys know what formula was best for your babies ? Like once y’all leave the hospital how do you know which one to buy from the store . And I won’t have wic by the time he gets here so I need to make sure I’m spending money on the right one .
