No baby I’m sight

Madeleine

Please excuse the rant that is about to follow….

I have PCOS and got really lucky and got pregnant with our first child after 1 round of letrezol. So silly me thought it would be just as easy the second time. Well after 5 months of trying, my normal OB referred me to a fertility specialist. While we were in our first off month while all the tests were being run I got pregnant on my own, only to quickly lose it. The tests revealed that my husband and I hit the lottery with a very rare genetic match up. He has a kell gene which is reactive to my blood type. My first child has the kell gene which caused me to create antibodies that will attack any other kell positive pregnancy I have, making it high risk. We’ve had to run so many tests and we are still waiting for answers. I came to the realization if I had gotten pregnant as quickly as I did the first time, I’d be having a baby now. I of course want all the information to hopefully carry a healthy pregnancy to term. It just feels far away.

Sending baby dust to everyone else that is also struggling.
