What should I expect ?

We did egg retrieval yesterday. They retrieved 15 eggs 14 mature and 12 fertilized . We did icsi and want to do pgt testing . Do you think it’s a good fertilization rate ? What should I expect how many can reach to blastocyst stage ?

Our doctor told us for our ages that roughly half of fertilized make it to 5 day blast and roughly half of those will be PGT normal.
We had 12 fertilize, 7 make it to blast, and 4 normal embryos.

Everyone is different but those look like good numbers. I had 17 retrieved, 16 mature, 14 fertilized with icsi and 8 made it to blasts.

I believe they say to expect to lose about half at each stage but there’s no way to know really. I did my first round at age 30 and only had 1 embryo frozen. No testing. Thankfully it was successful and had my little girl in 2019 at 31. 
We did a second round last January when I was a few days shy of turning 33. I was on low doses bc of high AMH. Had 24 retrieved, only 12 mature, 11 fertilized with ICSI and we ended up with 10 embryos frozen, which was more than I was expecting! However we again did not pgs, So I’m not sure how many are “normal” and I knew that going in. First transfer ended in early mc unfortunately, jumped right back in and transferred again and I’ll be 34 weeks.  I’ll be 34 when I have him, and 8 embryos still frozen. You had a great amount retrieved! My RE said 15ish is perfect. Fingers crossed you have great blast results!🥰 The waiting is so hard.

I did icsi. 24 eggs retrieved 18 mature and only 2 made it to day 5 to freeze. No testing done

At 34 I had 15 eggs, 7 fertilized, 3 made it to blast. All 3 were normal.

I did fertility sparing cus I was diagnosed with Uterine Cancer and I had 14 eggs and ended up with 7 embryos and 2 made the cut.

We did ICSI too. 55 retrieved, 48 mature, 44 fertilized, 36 made it to day 3, 22 made it to day 5, 10 normal embryos after testing. So basically half lost at each stage. Everyone is totally different though! I would recommend the testing for sure.
