Has anyone had their cervical dilation regress? I was at a 4cm 50% effaced at 36 weeks my doctor did a membrane sweep & told me to expect labour soon, I seen the same doctor today at 37 weeks, he told me I was only at 2cm 50% effaced & my chances of baby coming are low..

Is this a common occurrence? I’ve never heard of cervical dilation regressing, and there isn’t much information on the topic elsewhere. my doctor didn’t say much either.. just that we could schedule an induction at 38 weeks for 39 weeks..
