She bought our entire cart, it was $200
Just felt like sharing. When I was in 9th grade, one of my peers had a baby. I remember when I was walking down the hall just leaving the bathroom and she was running towards me and puked everywhere because she couldn’t make it to the toilets on time. I was like girl you’re pregnant.
Sure enough, She had the baby 8 months later. Reminder that we weren’t friends just knew each other and we were friendly.
One night around 3-4 am she calls me and I’m like who is this? girl how did you get my number? Are you crying?
“Yes I’m crying. I’m alone, I don’t have any formula..”
And tells me that her breasts just won’t produce anything for the baby. She had no car, and her family wouldn’t answer.
She wasn’t even asking me for anything. She just wanted to vent because she was overwhelmed. The baby had been screaming for hours and I could hear it in the background. I asked for her address and told her I’d be there in 45 mins with formula.
So I go and wake my mother out of a dead sleep. She was pissed at first but then I told her what was going on and she said “okay, put your shoes on.”
We head out and get the formula and bring it to her and she bawled her eyes out when we showed up.
I never saw her again because she dropped out of school. We talked on Facebook just being friendly and my mom helped her get WIC.
Years later. I’m talking YEARS later I think I was 22 at the time. I’m trying to buy groceries and the total was $200+ but I only had $170
I hear behind me “it’s okay, I got it.” And I turn around and it’s the girl who me and my mom got baby formula for. I said thank you a million times and I hugged her.
She was like “don’t spend your money. I’ll cover all of it.”
And girlfriend spent over $200 on me that night at Walmart. bought all of my groceries
I cried my eyes out because it was just insanely nice. She told me to go home and eat well because I helped make sure her daughter was fed. She told me that was one of the worst nights of her life because she was a 15 year old mom thinking her baby was gonna starve to death
Yes. I have posted this before in the past. It’s been a few years and there’s a huge turnover rate for the users on this app and that’s why I shared again
I hope it restores your faith in humanity
