vaccines and babies ???

i am not even trying to make a debate i’m simply asking as a mom to be in july … do people really not vaccinate babies ? i thought you had to get certain shots in order for the baby to not get extremely sick but i wouldn’t actually know. what vaccines do they give and what age ? i just thought it would be automatic to get them but apparently not. let me know down below 👇 and NO this is not about the covid vaccine.

The main concern is pertussis, which they get around 2 months. But by the time baby is 6 months, pertussis is very treatable when caught early, by age 1 it's fairly harmless like a cold. My oldest had a very bad reaction to his 2nd DTAP and still suffers from it, he is 9. Vaccine injury/reaction is quite rare, but it does happen. My other kids didnt get any. We dont do daycare and basically took "covid precautions" years ago until they were old enough that pertussis is less concerning.
MMR they dont get until theyre around age 2. Rubella isnt really dangerous except for pregnant women. Measles is the main concern.  Mumps is quite rare.
HepB is contracted via sex and needle sharing. I pressed my pediatrician for an answer as to why they give it so young, her answer basically was well why not get it out of the way. Thats not a good enough answer for me. That can wait until preteen.
Chicken pox, my cohort didnt have a vaccine, it really isnt any more severe than most other viruses until adulthood. That can wait until preteen years in my opinion.
Most of the childhood illnesses dont have vaccines eg roseola, HFM, Fifths, RSV.
There are plenty of reasons why some parents choose to space them out or forgo them as babies. The important thing is to research the illness the vaccine prevents, and read the pamphlet that comes with each vaccine to examine possible side effects (parents should be informed of possible side effects, even if rare, just like with any medication or treatment...parents are often not supplied with the vaccine pamphlet even when they ask, which I adamantly disagree with ethically), consider your circumstances eg daycare, parent exposure to the public, city or rural etc, and make your decision accordingly.

I don't. Black box warning is enough for me. Although I've dug way further into information and continue to do so. My daughter got 2 before 2 weeks and went cross-eyed in one eye. Thankfully it has corrected itself.

No it is not automatic or mandatory.  Honestly it's something that is beat to do your own research on and make your own informed decisions.  Some people disagree with some of the testing and formulation of some vaccines.  Some vaccines can have potentially harmful ingredients in them  and you just have to weigh the protection of that vaccine with the potential side effects and long term effects.   It's your child and your responsibility and dont let others make you feel bad for the decisions you make.    
I personally vaccinate but I do understand and respect fully the reasons that some choose not to.    
My mom and I were discussing it one day and she was stunned to find out that vaccines had more in them than saline and dead viruses.  She was not at all educated on vaccines amd their formulations.

I personally did not vaccinate my son at birth we waited until his first well visit. He got everything but the oral vaccine because it had been recalled a few years prior for bowel obstruction. We also did not do hep b, didn’t feel it was necessary at the time he was not going to be in daycare or around anyone else but myself and I do not have hep b. Unfortunately we had to stop vaccinating because he would have welts after his vaccines. We did 3 sessions of vaccines, at 10 months he had to have allergy testing and get his blood drawn it was horrible. He’s now 3.5 and we do not vaccinate him any more and have not had any skin issues. We do consider a delayed schedule and testing out a few vaccines at a time to see if there are still interactions. You have to do your own research and figure out what works for you. I’m having a baby next week and we will start with a delayed schedule incase she has reactions as well.

Yes my 3 year old son has had all his recommended childhood vaccines on time. This new baby will too. Idk where you live; but if US you can find the schedule on the CDC or AAP websites.

You can request to space them out. My dr let me do that, I feel like the amount of vaccines they put into a very tiny body was just a lot so we spaced them out over a few months. We also only vaccinate for “important” things, don’t get any seasonal vaccines, flu, Covid, etc. The 1 year we got the flu vaccine we got the flu. We’ve never had it since then 🤷🏻‍♀️

Yes people don’t vaccinate and a lot of pediatricians in my city won’t take unvaccinated kids as a patient.  The shots are for diseases that can cause a lot of long term harm and/or death.

The vaccines are routine when you go to your doctor. If you are someone that doesn’t get vaccines for your kids I would assume you would either know the schedule to request your child doesn’t get them or not take them to the dr at all (purely speculation, our kids are vaccinated).

My son got his shots at birth and at his 2 months appointment. I changed his Dr because she was a wacko. He was sick and teething and she wanted to tell me differently. Well most doctors where I live now is getting rid of the vaccines. They're not doing them anymore where I live in Texas

In Canada childhood vaccines are not mandatory, though they will often lead you to believe that they are. Do your research and make an informed decision.
