Cytotec?

What was y’all’s experience with cytotec for induction ? I’m currently getting induced on Sunday and never heard of it lol

I was started on cervidil for about 8 hours and then given two doses of the misoprostil (cytotec). It just helped me thin out completely and maybe dilate from 3-4 (cervidil went from fingertip to 3). My water did break in its own and then I got an epidural and started pitocin. From start to finish (and it was my first) was 29 hours 15 minutes.

I had 3 doses before it kicked in. ( I don’t think the nurse got the first dose in right though) I had a pretty quick labor for it being my first baby. I was 1 cm dilated and 70% effaced when they started the induction.

I was induce with this last year. It's a pill they put in your vagina every couple hours. I got the epidural so then they started me with pitocin to speed up the process.

My experience was fine .. they gave me 2 doses it’s a little uncomfortable going in but i didn’t really feel much different with it .. it did help dilate me to 3 cm from 1
