Does anyone know how Covid antibodies are passed to the baby?

My doctor tested me for antibodies and it was positive and the nurse who read me the results said the baby has antibodies too now. Does that mean they’ll be born with them? I’m only 13 weeks so wouldn’t they fade out before the baby is born?

You gain some natural immunity towards covid and so will the baby. In time the antibody count goes down but your body still knows how to recognize CoVid somewhat. Your baby will have this natural immunity as well. Of course, with each new strain of CoVid things the body will have to fight it differently but it does help to have that natural immunity.
