Did you get back pain after the epidural?

I hear so many people say the epidural gave them back pain. I'm wondering how true this is? What was your experience?

I've had 5 epidurals & no back pain

It was sore but it’s hard to determine if that was from the epidural or having back labor for 12+ hours and pushing for 2. It went away with a heating pad and Advil after a few days.

I've had 4 and never had back pain. All different anesthesiologists too. Lucky I guess? Trying to decide if I want another one with this baby. 🤔

If you do it's mainly because the epidural is going through cartilage so you'll have to stretch it out and do back workouts to help the cartilage

I have preexisting back pain so I was worried about long term pain. Epidural worked perfect and I only had pain the day my son was born or the day after. But it wasn’t internal back pain if that makes sense. It was definitely from the epidural. I felt like I was getting stabbed with a needle there. It hurt pretty good. But they brought me a heating pad that took the edge off and I was good to go. 17 months postpartum and no pain since that day

Back pain and it feels as if I’m having spasms. I didn’t want the epidural I wanted to go natural but the nurses pushed me so my body would actually relax.

I was sore in the hospital and a few days after I got home. But im about 4.5 weeks pp now and haven't had anymore issues.
