Can you choose to transfer two embryos?

Question

I had IVF due to male factor infertility and was blessed with my little one. This time around, due to several factors, I would like to pursue twins. Can I select to have two embryos transferred? We are in process of finding a clinic as we relocated since our first round of IVF - therefore have yet to have this question answered.

Most doctors strongly push against it. If you have insurance coverage they can actually choose not to cover a cycle that will transfer 2 embryos as well. 
Pursuing a multiple pregnancy means pursuing so many potential health risks for you and the babies that most medical professionals wouldn't advise knowingly pursuing that. 
We were allowed to by our doctor, reluctantly, after 3 retrievals and 7 losses (3 of which were PGS tested) over a 2 year span. Our history of loss is what made our doctor agree when we asked.

So my ivf was almost four years ago so things have probably changed. However I had the option to transfer one or two embryos. You just have to keep in mind not only the health risks that come along with twin pregnancy but everything afterwards. I choose to transfer two embryos because of my uterus being shaped oddly and then both stuck around. I was blessed with a healthy pregnancy and now twins are turning four. Once you find a doctor they will tell you what's possible! Good luck and lots of baby dust your way!

Depends on your clinic.  My embryos were tested and my doctor was a hard “no”.  If I wanted to do two I probably would have had to transfer clinics.

Yes . I transferred two and they only recommended one . The reason they don't recommend two is because two embryos can turn into 4 babies and so on . Goodluck on your journey !!!!
