So I’m 24 and I have a doctors appointment coming up and I was thinking about bringing up seeing a gynaecologist and getting Pap smears and breast exams because.. I’m 24 and it’s important to have check ups for that type of thing right?

I talked to my mom about it a while ago (I know that it’s not her business, but I chose to talk to her about it cause I wanted to) and she said oh no I don’t think you would like that.. they put something inside of you and it might hurt blah blah blah (she thinks I’m still a virgin, probably thinks I don’t masturbate, Little does she know about my large dildo lmao) and she said something like your only supposed to take those tests once your sexually active so your fine and I was just like yeah and ended the conversation cause its not her business anyway and I’m just gonna talk to the doctor about it. And I didn’t wanna tell her I’ve had sex before because 1 not her business and 2 I have never been able to talk to my parents about that kind of stuff. Bro when I have kids I’m gonna make sure that they can talk to me about anything so that they won’t still feel awkward talking about it at frickin 24 years old!!

ANYWAY. So I only had sex once in my life. At age 13. Yes I know very young. He was also 13, It was consensual and everything. But I haven’t had sex since. And I am 24. Not because of anything, I’m just not into hook ups and I’ve never had a boyfriend because Im hardly ever attracted to people and hardly catch feelings but when I do it’s a guy I can’t have lmao. (Yes I know that I am “Demi sexual”)

SO my question is, am I considered sexually active?? Does sexually active mean that you’ve had sex before or does it mean like having sex often present day? Cause that’s what “sexually active” sounds like to me, actively having sex. But are you considered sexually active if you’ve had sex once but it was a long time ago??
