Anyone have their kids in daycare during covid times?

Question

How has it been in general? I know every daycare varies, but if Im not wrong, here in canada it doesnt seem to be mandatory for daycare workers to be vaccinated. How would you feel?
Has your child caught covid in daycare? How old are they and did they get better? 
I feel like my 18 month old could use the socialization for sure, plus Im a single mom and need the help

Here (Ontario) it depends on the daycare provider to make the covid vaccine mandatory. Honestly, it doesn't bother me if my son's daycare teachers are vaccinated or not as it's already been proven to make little difference in the efficacy and prevention of spreading especially with the variants. My son has been in daycare all through the covid times and I don't regret it. He's gained more from participating in their program than the risks involved of infection and it's given him that social outlet all children require considering we've been lockdown for the better part of 2 years. It all depends on your level of comfortability but honestly I am so happy I made the choice to keep him in daycare.

My toddler is in daycare. She didn't catch covid at daycare, but did have it after my husband and I both had it. We know she didn't get it from daycare because she had been home with us for nearly 2 months because she had pneumonia this winter as well (yes, very long winter!). She was in the hospital with pneumonia for a week. When she tested positive with covid she barely had any symptoms. She had a very low grade fever for half a day and was a little more tired/ fussy than usual. We only tested her because we both had it. 
I just took her back to daycare today and I'm honestly more afraid of her picking up another nasty cold or RSV than I am covid.

I’m in California. My baby started going to daycare at 18 months (which was uhhh June? 2021?). 
Baby has never caught Covid, nor have we. (To our knowledge.) Our daycare required employees to be vaccinated. They wear masks. The toddlers aren’t required to wear masks, though some of the older kids in other classes do. 
My baby loooves his daycare teachers and has been learning new things like crazy. Both me and my spouse work so we don’t have any other choice, but even so, it’s been a very positive experience for baby and us. 
If you can pick a daycare that requires teachers to be vaccinated (even if the province doesn’t require it) that’d make me feel a lot better about things.

Our toddler has been going to one through half of the pandemic. Her daycare just closed for the first time because of someone getting Covid 2 weeks ago. She hasn’t caught anything other than the normal daycare kids crud. 
Like it was said, every daycare is going to be different. It’s gonna depend on how everything is where you live I feel like.

Mine goes to a mother’s day out program one day a week. We haven’t had any issues with sickness. My mom also works there 4 days a week and hasn’t had any major issues either. Vaccinated or not everyone can carry and spread it. I’ve had it twice now and if my kids did catch it they have been asymptomatic.
