Found out GBS +—this experience is feeling less and less natural as time progresses

M

Okay..I’m 29 weeks and I found out through a urine culture that I am GBS positive. So they won’t have to swab me at 36 weeks.

I am already a diabetic so I know that I had so many interventions and scans already.

I don’t know why but hearing that I am GBS+ just made me sad because that means I’ll have to go in pretty much immediately if my water breaks at home..being hooked up to monitors and the antibiotic drip..

I’m not super crunchy granola but I was trying to aim for more time spent home laboring if possible. In the event my water doesn’t break can I still aim for this?

Idk..feeling defeated..
